Social security benefits can be provided by the person eligible for support and

their relatives, guardians under the Civil Act, youth counselors and youth

guidance personnel under the Basic Youth Act, and those who are actually protecting

the person eligible for support.

사회보장급여는 지원대상자와 그 친족, 민법에 따른 후견인, 청소년 기본법에 따른

청소년상담사ㆍ청소년지도사, 지원대상자를 사실상 보호하고 있는 자 등이 할 수 있다.

The application for benefits is made to the guarantee institution having jurisdiction

over the address of the applicant.

급여신청은 지원대상자의 주소지 관할 보장기관에 한다.

The person in charge of affairs of the guarantee institution may apply for benefits

ex officio.

보장기관의 업무담당자는 직권으로 급여를 신청할 수 있다.

This is to ensure that applicants are not omitted.

이는 지원대상자가 누락되지 아니하도록 하려는 목적이다.

In this case, the consent of the applicant must be obtained.

이 경우 지원대상자의 동의를 받아야 한다.

If the person in charge of business has obtained consent, it is deemed that the

applicant has applied for it.

업무담당자가 동의를 받은 경우에는 지원대상자가 신청한 것으로 본다.

The head of a guarantee institution may receive data or information about the

applicant and the person obligated to support it, to investigate and process it.

보장기관의 장은 지원대상자와 그 부양의무자에 대하여 자료 또는 정보를 제공받아

조사하고 처리할 수 있다.
