Composer Ho-seop Lee dreamed of becoming a judge, but he was attracting attention

as he confessed the story of having to give up his dream due to family registration issues.

"알고보니 제 호적부에 빨간 줄이 그어져 있었다"고 했다.

He said, "It turned out that there was a red line in my family register."

호적에 관한 사무는 시 읍 면의 장이 관장한다.

Affairs related to family registers are administered by the head of the municipality.

그러나 시 읍 면의 사무소의 소재지를 관할하는 가정법원장이 이를 감독한다.

However, this is supervised by the head of the Family Court, which has jurisdiction over

the location of the offices of the municipalities.

호적에 관한 사무에 요하는 비용은 그 사무를 관장하는 지방자치단체의 부담으로 한다.

Expenses required for business related to the family register shall be borne by the

local government in charge of the business.
