The Second Trilateral Senior Foreign Affairs Officials' Consultation was held at Hotel Shilla in Seoul from October 27 to 28, 2007.
According to MOFAT/Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, The delegations of the ROK, China and Japan were headed by Mr. Shim Yoon-joe, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs; Mr. He Yafei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Mr. Yabunaka Mitoji, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, respectively.

'This meeting was also to be a preparatory meeting for the ROK-China-Japan Summit and the Foreign Ministers' Talks that the three countries are trying to hold in Singapore this November' said MOFAT

'So all participants took this opportunity to discuss ways to promote substantial cooperation in various areas among the three countries, having a wide range of discussions on major regional and international issues' they added.



제2차 한·중·일 외교부 고위급 회의가 28일 심윤조(沈允肇) 외교통상부 차관보 주재로「허야페이(何亞非)」중국 외교부 부장조리와「야부나카 미토지(藪中 三十二)」일본 외무성 외무심의관 등이 참석한 가운데 서울 신라호텔에서 개최되었다.

외교부에 따르면, 금번 회의에서 3국은 3자 협력방안과 지역 및 국제정세에 관해 폭넓은 의견교환을 하였으며, 정상을 포괄한 각급차원에서 대화의 관행을 축적시켜 나가는 것이 상호이해와 신뢰를 증진하고 공동이익을 모색하는데 의견을 같이 하였다.

이와 관련, 3국은 그 간의 3국정상회담 및 외교장관회담에서 합의한 제반 협력사업의 이행현황을 점검하고, 향후 개최를 추진 중인 한·중·일 3국 정상회의 및 3국 외교장관간 3자위원회의 성공을 위해 긴밀히 협력, 준비해 나가기로 하였다고 외교부 관계자는 덧붙였다.
