In the design registration application, the purpose of obtaining design registration 

must be clearly indicated.

디자인등록출원서에는 디자인등록을 받으려는 취지가 명확하게 표시되어야 한다.

Otherwise, the filing date of the application for design registration is not recognized 

as the date when the application for design registration reaches the Commissioner of 

the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

그렇지 아니한 경우에는 그 디자인등록출원의 출원일은 디자인등록출원서가 특허청장에게 도달한 날로 인정되지 않는다.

In addition, the name or title of the applicant for design registration must be clearly

 written in the design registration application.

또한 디자인등록출원서에는 디자인등록출원인의 성명이나 명칭이 명확하게 적혀있어야 한다.

Otherwise, the applicant for design registration cannot be identified.

그렇지 아니하면 디자인등록출원인을 특정할 수 없게 된다.

Even in such cases, the filing date of the design registration application is not 

recognized as the date when the design registration application reaches the head 

of the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

이러한 경우에도 그 디자인등록출원의 출원일은 디자인등록출원서가 특허청장에게 도달한 날로 인정되지 않는다.

In particular, there are cases in which only some of the designs for which multiple 

designs have been applied for registration need to be supplemented.

특히 복수디자인등록출원된 디자인 중 일부 디자인에만 보완이 필요한 경우가 있다.

In this case, the date when the supplementary procedure for some of the designs

 reaches the head of the Korean Intellectual Property Office is regarded as the filing 

date of the entire multiple designs.

이 경우에는 그 일부 디자인에 대한 절차보완서가 특허청장에게 도달한 날을 복수디자인 전체의 출원일로 본다.

In addition, there are cases in which a person who received a supplement order to

 submit a drawing did not supplement only some of the designs applied for multiple

 design registration within the designated period.

아울러 도면을 제출하도록 보완명령을 받은 자가 지정기간 내에 복수디자인등록 출원된 디자인 중 일부 디자인만 보완하지 아니한 경우가 있다.

In this case, too, the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office may 

reject the application for design registration as an inappropriate application.

이 경우에도 특허청장은 그 디자인등록출원을 부적법한 출원으로 보아 반려할 수 있다.
