사회보장급여법의 원명칭은 사회보장급여의 이용ㆍ제공 및 수급권자 발굴에 관한 법률이다.

이 법은 사회보장기본법에 따른 사회보장급여의 이용 및 제공에 관한 기준과 절차 등을

정한다.

This Act establishes standards and procedures for the use and provision of social

security benefits under the Framework Act on Social Security.

사회보장급여의 기본적 사항을 규정하고 지원을 받지 못하는 지원대상자를 발굴하여

지원한다.

The basic matters of social security benefits are defined, and those who cannot

receive support are identified and supported.

"사회보장급여"란 보장기관이 사회보장기본법에 따라 제공하는 현금, 현물, 서비스 및 그

이용권을 말한다.

The term "social security benefits" refers to cash, goods, services and the right to use

them provided by a security institution in accordance with the Framework Act on

Social Security.

"수급권자"란 사회보장기본법에 따른 사회보장급여를 제공받을 권리를 가진 사람을 말한다.

The term "recipient" refers to a person who has the right to receive social security

benefits under the Framework Act on Social Security.

"수급자"란 사회보장급여를 받고 있는 사람을 말한다.

"Recipient" means a person receiving social security benefits.

"지원대상자"란 사회보장급여를 필요로 하는 사람을 말한다.

"Subject to support" means a person who needs social security benefits.

"보장기관"이란 관계 법령 등에 따라 사회보장급여를 제공하는 국가기관과

지방자치단체를 말한다.

The term "guarantee institution" refers to a national institution and local government

that provides social security benefits in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

사회보장급여가 필요한 사람은 누구든지 자신의 의사에 따라 사회보장급여를 신청할 수 있다.

Anyone who needs social security benefits can apply for social security benefits at

their will.

보장기관은 이에 필요한 안내와 상담 등의 지원을 충분히 제공하여야 한다.

The guarantee institution shall provide sufficient support for guidance and counseling.
