모헤닉 모터스는 전기차 완속 충전기로 배터리를 충전할 수 있도록 OCB 시스템을 적용한 전기 오토바이 ‘UB46E’를 출시·판매하고 있다고 밝혔다.

현재 국내에서 판매되는 전기 오토바이는 대부분 배터리를 분리해 따로 충전하거나, 가정용 220V를 연결해 충전하는 시스템이다. 이런 번거로움 탓에 전기 오토바이는 정부의 전기차 보조금 지원 사업에도 불구하고 사용자들의 선호도가 떨어졌다. 이외에도 장거리 이동 시 충전기를 갖고 다니거나, 전기를 빌려 써야 하는 불편함 등은 전기 오토바이 시장 확장에 걸림돌이 돼 왔다.

이에 전기차 충전소 내 전기 오토바이 충전에 대한 수요는 높았지만, 오토바이 특성상 공간적 협소함, 가격 상승 등의 이유로 전기차 완속 충전기에 사용할 수 있는 OBC(On Board Charge) 시스템 적용이 쉽지 않았다.

모헤닉은 전기 오토바이의 단점을 극복하고자 순수 국내 기술로 OBC를 개발했고, 이를 적용한 수제 전기 오토바이 UB46E를 출시했다.

모헤닉의 UB46E는 국내 최초로 전기차 완속 충전소에서 배터리를 충전할 수 있다.

UB46E는 전기차 충전을 위해 배터리 충전기를 들고 다니거나, 충전 가능한 공간을 찾아다닐 필요가 없다. 현재 KT, 한국전기공사 등 다양한 기업, 기관이 충전소 인프라 사업을 하고 있다. 충전소 앱을 설치하면 전기차 충전소 외 빌딩 및 아파트 주차장 곳곳에 설치된 충전기 위치를 확인할 수 있다.

또 KT 충전기는 교통카드로 충전할 수 있고, 다양한 우대 혜택도 지원된다. 충전 요금은 업체에 따라 ㎾h(킬로와트시)당 80원~200원 안팎으로 차이가 있다.

모헤닉 UB46E는 다른 전기 오토바이와 같이 가정용 220v 플러그 충전도 지원해 사용자 환경에 따라 충전할 수 있는 게 장점이다. 이외에도 구독 서비스를 제공해 사용자들이 국산 전기 오토바이를 부담 없이 체험할 수 있도록 길을 넓혔다.

모헤닉은 앞으로 개발할 대형 전기 오토바이에는 급속 충전까지 지원하는 OBC를 적용할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

Mohenic Motors exhibits and sells an electronic motorcycle adapting OCB system 

as to charge battery with a motorcycle charger.

Nowadays most of the motorcycle being sold in domestic market is charged right 

after disconnecting battery or with system of charging through domestic 220V 

electronic device. This annoying acts brought out the decline of users’ preference. 

Also the difficulty like borrowing electronics or bringing the charger when going 

too far interrupted the extension of electronic motorcycle market.

The needs for electronic motorcycle charge in electronic charger center however

 it is not easy to adapt the OBC system because of motorcycle’s spatial narrowness 

and the increase of price.

Mohenic developed OBC with purely domestic technology to overcome the weakness

 of electronic motorcycle, and brought out handmade electronic motorcycle UB46E.

Mohenic UB46E can charge the charger in the electronic car charger center.

UB46E does not need to go find out the certain area for bringing battery charger 

for charging electronic car. Now various enterprise or institution like KT, Korea electronic

 site office is doing the charger infra business. We can find out where the charger is 

like electronic car charger center and building and apartment parking lot when we

 installed charger app.

Also KT charger can be charged with traffic card and various discount can be sufficed.

 Charge fee varies in a range of 80won~ 200won per kWh according to where the

 company is.

Mohenic UB46E has a big advantage because domestic 200v plug charge like other

 electronic motorcycle can be charged according to users’ environment. Also using 

subscription service, more chances were given so that users can use domestic 

electronic motorcycle.

Mohenic is supposed to adapt OBC so as to help develop a big electronic motorcycle

 which is going to be released soon.
